Additionally, the park is renowned for its magnificent baobab trees and fantastic opportunities for birdwatching. Tarangire promises an unforgettable safari adventure, particularly in the dry season when animals congregate near the river, offering excellent opportunities for close-up wildlife observation. Following the exciting day, we will head to Marera Valley Lodge for a delightful dinner and overnight stay.
The Second Day - The Ngorongoro Caldera
Kickstart your day with an early morning meal before embarking on an adventure to the Ngorongoro Crater, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. This natural wonder, created millions of years ago, plunges to a depth of 610 meters and spans an impressive 260 square kilometers. Teeming with a population of about 25,000 animals, the crater promises unparalleled wildlife sightings in Tanzania. As soon as you step foot inside, you'll be greeted by a plethora of creatures, from wildebeest and zebras to gazelles and elephants. The diverse avian population, boasting more than 500 bird species, presents opportunities to marvel at colorful and varied feathered friends. Keep your eyes peeled for the rare black rhino, as you might just catch a glimpse of this endangered species grazing peacefully in the grasslands.
