One of the most well-known national parks, the Serengeti, is celebrated for its abundant wildlife and quintessential African landscapes. As Tanzania's oldest park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it continues to captivate visitors with its stunning wildebeest migration and year-round wildlife viewing opportunities. Every year, more than 1.5 million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle undertake a journey from the Serengeti to Kenya's Masai Mara National Reserve. Witnessing the breathtaking sight of endless herds of wildebeest and zebra stretching across the horizon is a highlight for those lucky enough to be on safari during this time. Our itinerary includes a half-day game drive through the Serengeti, ensuring an unforgettable experience during daylight hours.

The Serengeti National Park is renowned for its exceptional wildlife sightings. Visitors have the chance to witness a wide array of safari animals, from cheetahs to four of the iconic Big Five species - lions, elephants, buffalos, and leopards. While rhino sightings are infrequent, the park is home to black rhinos exclusively. Alongside the majestic big cats, travelers can also observe various predators like spotted hyenas, particularly during the morning hours. Opting for a full-day game drive enhances the opportunity to encounter a diverse range of wildlife.

Following breakfast, you have the option to embark on a wildlife viewing excursion in the Serengeti park with a picnic lunch, or return to enjoy a warm meal. Following the game drive, continue your journey towards the Ngorongoro region for dinner and an overnight stay at Simba Campsite atop the crater's edge before nightfall, considering the atmospheric conditions in the Ngorongoro vicinity.

At daybreak, following a hearty breakfast, embark on a scenic drive from Simba Campsite to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. Exploring the Ngorongoro Crater is truly a unique adventure that shouldn't be missed! This remarkable location boasts an extraordinary concentration and diversity of wildlife. It's quite common to encounter the iconic Big Five in a single day! The area is teeming with a plethora of safari animals, and catching a glimpse of the elusive black rhinos, which are rarely seen elsewhere in Tanzania, is a special highlight. Standing tall at 600m (2,000ft), the crater wall provides a spectacular backdrop to this natural wonder.

Following breakfast, we will embark on a journey to Tarangire National Park. Here, you will have the opportunity to witness groups of up to 300 elephants as they seek out water in the arid riverbeds. Keep a lookout for the seasonal movements of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest, and eland near the diminishing pools of water. Be on the lookout for communities of mongoose residing in the deserted termite hills. While the park is home to various predators, such as lions and leopards, they may be more challenging to spot due to the dense foliage compared to other reserves in the northern region of Tanzania.
